
Dr. Fred DeLucia is the newest member of our practice. He earned his bachelor's degree from New York University in Psychology and Pre-Med. He went on to pursue his medical degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Thereafter, his education continued with a well-rounded Podiatric Residency consisting of both medical and surgical training at numerous hospitals, such as: North Shore University Hospitals (Forest Hills, Manhasset, & Southside Hospital), Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Flushing Hospital, and the New York Hospital of Queens. There he completed four years of advanced training in the medical and surgical care of conditions affecting the lower leg and foot.
Throughout his rigorous training, he participated in seminars, labs, and meetings nationally in several areas of foot and ankle surgery including external ring fixation, diabetic limb salvage, pediatric foot surgery, biomechanics, lower extremity trauma, joint replacement surgery of the foot, internal fixation, ankle arthroscopy and microsurgery. He is currently Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) for both reconstructive forefoot as well as rear foot & ankle surgery.
Currently, he holds membership to the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). His interests extend to all areas of Podiatric care, both conservative and surgical. He is also fluent in Italian and conversant in Spanish. He holds hospital and medical facility appointments at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, North Shore University Hospitals of Forest Hills and Manhasset, The Fifth Avenue Surgery Center of Manhattan, Southside Hospital in Bayshore and The North Shore Surgicenter in Smithtown.
